Resign Yourself to Star Trek. Resistance is Futile.

All the new Star Trek podcasting action you could want!
A Discovery Home Companion began as a regular Kicker of Elves podcast reviewing the triumphant return of Star Trek to TV, but quickly drove James and Hugh to the edge of despair and stymied any lingering regard they had for Trek going forward.  By season 2 of Discovery they were gone, leaving Wade to pod alone, to struggle with his own complicated feelings towards a show he didn’t like all that much, and a franchise he did.  Is it ok to be a fan of something?  Is it wrong to define yourself according to a corporate IP? -Hey, jerks!  Maybe it’s ok to just enjoy things sometimes!-  With Season 2 new companions came along, both Star Trek aficionados and people who’d never seen any Trek at all.
Then Star Trek: Picard came along, the name changed, and it was like Disco Home was a totally separate podcast or something.  Then there was a cartoon called Lower Decks and Under the Bridge was the podcast. Then a Disco Inferno? What the f-?  BURN IT ALL DOWN.

We’re calling it Star Trek Resignation now.  It’s a boring name, but we’re resigned to it.

Everybody’s got an opinion, sure, but who has the “correct” one? Obviously there’s only one right way for a Star Trek TV show to be, right? Luckily we got you covered.
