Huh. Wait what? Picard is good now?

Yeah, that’s right. All those other podcasts and shows are lying to you. We’re the only source you can trust on NuTrek. NO. We’re not a cult. How dare you.

Here we go on about what works in episodes 3 and 4 of Star Trek: Picard season 3. How does the show finally use what previous seasons refused to acknowledge about the universe? Just what is the relationship between technobabble and melodrama? How prurient can we be about our extracurricular activities?

Say Yes … to Disco Home

Living with Trauma, Wade, Glen, and Sean are evaluating their relationship to Star Trek: Discovery and making the changes needed to solve the problem of how to podcast about it.

Is season 4 the best the show has ever been? What does that even mean?

Somehow the “squeecore” debate is brought up. If you’re not a soldier in those particular twitter wars… Good! Here’s the ritegud podcast that started it.

Disco Home, GTFO

So maybe you read the post below about how we had nice things to say about Star Trek: Discovery?

Forget all that.

If you haven’t been keeping up, Star Trek Resignation has been Discovery Home Companion-ing all through season three and it’s all finally over. Check out the final episode below. That’s it. The pod is over! At least until we possibly let Glen Status Report all over us.

Disco Home Returns

A Discovery Home Companion has returned from being cancelled. We ain’t no Garrison Keeler or Jeffrey Toobin!

But wait what is going on here? Wade, Glen and Sean have watched the season three opener, and… have overall positive things to say about Star Trek Discovery? What the…

For everyone who thought we don’t know a good time and were gonna hate on Disco no matter what: Hey, if they make a good show we’ll say so!

But hey, we’re not total fanboys yet. WE GOT SOME NOTES.

and yes, Status Report is still a thing.

Take me to the place I love…

This season of Lower Decks is over, which means it’s time to retire “Under the Bridge.” No overdoses are expected, but then there’s always Star Trek: Discovery coming up, so who knows if we’ll get a killer dose of Trek or not.

In the final podcast of the season, we finally get the show we wanted, and realize which of us is the Boimler and who is the Mariner style “agent of chaos.”

Catch up on all the episodes this season, and be on the lookout for what’s next for Star Trek Resignation. It might not be all that long of a wait!

Status Reporting

Are you a regular visitor to this site, but not any of the other places where Kickers of Elves content appears? Are you sad and confused by the lack of updates? Well hey, we haven’t gone anywhere!

Wade, James and Hugh have been keeping track of Hell World and life in the time of Corona over at the Kickers of Elves Patreon

give us money!

The Rules of Acquisition has been irregularly posting “The RoA Remix” to all the regular places that RSS feed shows up.

and get ready for more Trek content soon over at Can’t Picardly Disco Home or whatever it is we’re calling that this week.

Can’t Picardly Wait (You Don’t Have to)

Another episode of Picard. Tall who? When is Fandom a bad thing? A new segment, “Status Update” provides the math we’ve never needed.
Breaking down the episode or having a breakdown?  Wade doesn’t want to get caught up in being a fan, yet gets mad at minutiae.  Sean doesn’t know to get mad at anything. So he doesn’t.  Glen is really committed to being the ultimate Star Trek fan and getting his percentages up.

Echoing in the Void: Companion Epilogues pt 3

May it be that Disco Home Season 2 is finally over?

Lane and Courtney are nervous. Will Discovery stay in the future?

Let’s talk about the romance.  This show’s characters can’t even talk between themselves about their relationships without one being in a coma.

Dream plots and Klingon gods.

And finally, Wade receives final thoughts on Discovery Season 2 from Stefan in the Netherlands. And two guys who didn’t watch the show have a few questions.

Filling the Void: Companion Epilogues pt 2

With Discovery fading into the past, and flying into the future, we ask important questions such as: What kind of drug is each Star Trek series, and what was it like to binge all of Season 2 of Star Trek Discovery within a convenient trial size period of time?

Wade is once again joined by two guest companions. This time it’s journalist Ryan Britt (@ryancbritt on twitter), and an entirely new voice to Disco Home Season 2, Adam P. Newton (@dryvetyme).
